Michael Russell Grimaila's 1995 Analog Shoot Page
Here are some photographs my friend Matt took at the December 1995
meeting at the
Arrowhead Gun Club and Range located 10 miles north of Bryan.
The 1995 TAMU Analog VLSI Firearms Retreat CREW: Allen (MEEE), Matthew (MEEE),
Eric (MEEE), AJ (MSEE), Mike (MSEE), Jam (MSEE).
Click on any of the descriptions below to see another picture.
Matthew and Mike watch as AJ fires a Astra 90 .45ACP, Jam fires a Ruger
SP-101 in .357 MAG, Allen fires a Taurus PT-99 in 9mm, and Eric fires a
Taurus PT-22 in .22LR. NOTE: All participants are wearing hearing and
eye protectors.
Here are a couple of Texas Department of Public Safety targets used
to qualify for the Texas Concealed Handgun License. Target distance
for qualification is 20 shots at 3 yards, 20 shots at 7 yards, and 10
shots at 15 yards. Hits count as 3,4, or 5 as shown in the upper left
corner of the target. Qualification requires a cumulative score
greater than 175 points.
Here is a close up on one of the DPS qualification targets that was
peppered with a .38 Blaser shot shell cartridge for the Ruger SP-101.
A word of advice, don't shoot shotshells at rubber target holders. !
Here I am firing the Astra A-90 in .45ACP. The Astra A-90 is a copy of the
SIG P220 made in Spain. The Astra A-90 is easy to control, it's accurate,
and has a 9+1 capacity.
Here I am firing the stainless Taurus PT-99 in 9mm. The Taurus PT-99 is a
copy of the Beretta 92FS with significant improvements. It has click
adjustable rear sights sights, a manual safety/decocker, and 15+1 capacity.
